Greetings friends and family!!

Hello, hello, yes, I do realize it has been a couple months, but my gosh, how about how fast time flies??? Simply amazing isn't it?

Well, how do I start? OK, bring you up to speed these days...first of all, Singapore is great! I love it, love my work, love the spa and love the fact, that my family is coming out in three short weeks. The kicker is this, I NEVER thought for a million years (and a lot of you will probably agree with me on this one), I mean, who of you could imagine me working 5.5 days a week with some days (most?) being 10-12 hour days! Absolutely insane and such a great feeling!

Bringing Gonstead chiropractic (www.gonstead.com) to Singapore is a dream, and a dream come true at that so far.

The first three months we came out of the gates fast, with crazy volume of new patients, patient visits and a lot of new patient starts...enter Swine flu, ha ha, OK, not sure if it was that or the recession actually "touching" Singapore; I really don't know. Either way, when you push so hard at something and continue to get a great result, you learn to expect success at every turn and so when things change ever so slightly, it can be a little shock; well I mean, you try 15 new patients in a day down to 4 or 5; sounds silly, but you feel those things.

Well, things are picking up once again as I am into the middle of May and heading into June.

June brings some exciting things here in Singapore. To a lot of peoples shock, I have enrolled the little ones in local school (people ask me why local and I simply respond, umm b/c private school is 20k per year per child and gee, I just don't an extra 40k per year laying around for primary school for the little ones) and hey, can you see Madison and Aidan picking up Mandarin? I can, haha, this should be interesting...when did I get so strict, btw, the kids will have to start school at 7:30am...but the point of this is that we just found a new apartment, a 4 bedroom one at that, the kids are excited, Dylan is nervous and I do believe Gaylin is nervous too; I mean, who would have thought a year ago that I would be moving my family to SE Asia???

OK, not me for one, but what an adventure, what a dream. My partner continues to be a great source of support, friendship and wisdom; truly a great guy with a calm demeanor often bringing me to a realization of a lot of things at times; thanks!

The apartment we have is close to the kids school; moving in in a couple of weeks! There is a "wet market" right next door (wet market: the freshest of fish, fresh everything, very cool) and a fresh fruit and vegetable stand in the same area as well. Also, they just opened a new grocery store/market directly across the street. As for the condo, wow, AMAZING pool (thank you Michelle, Les' girlfriend for being so great in helping us get the place!!), a great workout facility if I manage to make my way back into the gym again one of these days! ha ha...

I am convinced my kids are going to turn into little fish, being in the pool nearly daily with temperature in the 80's everyday and now approaching summer so the heat is here to stay for a awhile; between that and the neighboring park to our place; I truly think they will be happy here; as for food, I am willing to bet there won't be too many things that Aidan "won't eat"; as for Madison, all bets are off; keep you posted, hopefully with pics on that one, ha ha..

Well, I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I miss you guys, miss my family, "Western food" periodically, though thanks to my great housemates (thanks Morgan!); they are always hosting dinner parties and cooking "home cooked" Western meals, YUMMY! and I am sure I will miss them too, living with them has been a neat change for a bit; granted I work so much it is "more of a place to sleep" with a lot of periodic playing "pool" in the living room (yes, we have a pool table in the great apartment I was able to share with them these past few months).

I wish you all the very best and please know you are always welcome for a visit once we get situated, I would truly love to have you guys come stay!!

I will start trying to write again coming soon and yes, post some "new apartment pics" (sorry, no Orchard towers just yes, lol;) and whatever else I start to write about.

Love you all and continue to wish you all things great! Remember, life is for living, so I hope you are doing you part....

God Bless!!

Aloha,

Dylan
